Festivities of St. James the Apostle

Mugardos Polbo Festival
The second Saturday of the month of July takes place in Mugardos the octopus party. Fiestas of Carmen in Vigo
These festivities take place on 16 July and feature a maritime procession that sets off from Vao beach. This is one of the oldest maritime processions that takes place in Berbés, Vigo and near the Rias Baixas. There is also a seafaring procession in Bouzas.
The Rapa das Bestas of Sabucedo
This festival is classified as a Festival of International Tourist Interest and takes place on the first Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday of July in Sabucedo in Pontevedra.
In this celebration, the horses are gathered from the bush and shaved, hence the name of the celebration in question.
Lacón Festival
It takes place on 5 July in Silleda and in the Plaza da Feira Vella you can taste the typical menu of the area in which the lacón is the real protagonist. Specifically, the dishes of cooked or roast pork shoulder, bread, wine, dessert and coffee, all accompanied by the best music.
Lobster Festival
The so-called Festa da Langosta (Lobster Festival) takes place in A Guarda, from the 5th to the 7th of July. Sardiñada popular no Cirs Cervás en Ares
This gastronomic festival takes place on 6 July and, as its name suggests, consists of a popular sardinada. A perfect choice for lovers of this fish which is, without a doubt, delicious.
Cea's Bread Exaltation Festival
This festivity takes place in San Cristovo de Cea on 7th July. This is an event held in the Campo de A Saleta, where you can taste this exquisite food, as well as try the different gastronomic products with designation of origin. Also the day before, the Ruta dos Fornos (Bread Route) is held, in which a gastronomic tour of the old bread ovens of Cea takes place.
